Nollywood actress Chita Agwu has announced that her marriage has been legally dissolved by a court, revealing that she is ready to begin a new chapter of her life.
The actress disclosed this in a statement shared on her Instagram page, where she said she had chosen to move forward with peace, grace and dignity following the end of her marriage.
Agwu also appealed to the public to respect her privacy and that of her former partner, stressing that marriage is a personal journey and that not every union ends as expected.
“After much thought and a deeply personal journey, I wish to officially inform the public that the court has legally dissolved my marriage,” she wrote.
She explained that she would not disclose private details or engage in public discussions about the circumstances surrounding the divorce, adding that people whose marriages have ended should be allowed to move on without judgment, ridicule or public humiliation.
“Out of respect for everyone involved, I will not be sharing private details or engaging in public discussions about the circumstances surrounding my divorce. I kindly ask that you respect my privacy and my former partner’s,” she added.
The actress expressed gratitude to those who had supported her throughout her journey, saying she was focused on healing, personal growth and the future.
“My marriage has ended, but my life continues. I move forward with my head held high, my dignity intact, and my heart open to the future,” she stated.
